DonorUA Awards
An annual event celebrating the most active blood donors, as recognized by DonorUA.
About the Event
Since 2020, DonorUA has held an annual awards ceremony to recognize distinguished, honorary, regular, and ambassador donors. Active donors enable us to ensure that patients receive blood and its components on time.
The event is dedicated to World Blood Donor Day, which is celebrated every year on June 14.

DonorUA Awards 2024
In 2024, 88 donors received awards. Of them, 46 attended the ceremony in person, held on June 8 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kyiv City Centre.
The event was attended by Dmytro Slobodianiuk, State Secretary of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and Mykhailo Radutskyi, Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Health, who congratulated the donors and thanked them for their contribution to the country’s resilience.
The evening’s program featured performances by the String Quartet of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, bandura player from the bands Tin Sontsya and Zgarda, Vladyslav Vakoliuk — soloist of the National Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Ukraine (NAONI Orchestra), singer and folklorist Yuliia Vitrianiuk (frontwoman of Zgarda, participant of The Voice of Ukraine 11), and stand-up comedian Maks Vyshynskyi.
DonorUA Awards 2023
The 2023 ceremony took place on June 11 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Podil, Kyiv. 47 donors from 16 regions of Ukraine received awards from DonorUA and gifts from Gelius.
The event was attended by Maryna Slobodnichenko, Deputy Minister of Health, Dmytro Koval, Director General of the Ukrainian Center for Transplant Coordination, and MP Olha Stefanishyna.
The festive mood was created by the Caprice-Classique String Quartet of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, artist Chuprynenko with a musical performance, and stand-up comedian Maks Vyshynskyi, who also hosted the event.
DonorUA Awards 2021
The 2021 ceremony took place on June 12 at the Park Inn by Radisson Kyiv Troyitska hotel. Speakers included Viktor Liashko, Minister of Health of Ukraine; Olha Stefanishyna, Member of Parliament; and Muhammad Farooq, representative of the EU Program for the Development of the Blood System in Ukraine.
The ceremony also featured an exhibition of the best works from the International DonorUA Art Project Festival.
DonorUA Awards 2020
The first-ever blood donor awards ceremony in Ukraine was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event was opened by TV host Katia Osadcha, and greetings to donors were shared by actor Yevhen Yanovych and TV host Yanina Sokolova.
