Blood Type Testing Campaigns Across Ukraine, Donor Recruitment, and Support for the Military.
As part of the project, blood types are determined using the EldonCard method — a quick procedure that takes only a few minutes and requires no medical education. Such campaigns are held all across Ukraine.
Blood Types and Donation
The most needed blood type is the one that a donor has. Even if you don’t know your blood type yet, you can still save lives — as long as you have no medical contraindications to donation. One blood donation can give hope to three people.
During blood typing campaigns, volunteers encourage local residents to join the donor movement. By registering with DonorUA, new donors receive notifications whenever there is a need for a specific blood type in their area. This makes blood donation more convenient and efficient.

“Walking Blood Bank” Supports the Military
Within the “Walking Blood Bank” project, military personnel and combat medics receive training in field transfusiology — the practice of blood transfusion at the pre-hospital stage (before or during the evacuation of a wounded soldier). Such transfusions can reduce combat mortality by up to 60%.
To support this initiative, ZARINA Jewelry House created a collection of life-saving jewelry.
These are silver pendants engraved with the wearer’s blood type and Rh factor, and bracelets adorned with colored inserts corresponding to the client’s blood type. All proceeds from jewelry sales are donated to the PULSE Foundation to fund training for military personnel and combat medics, as well as to purchase materials and equipment for blood transfusions, including blood and plasma warmers and refrigerators for storing blood on the front line.
The initiative primarily supports assault units, who face the highest risk of injury on the front lines.

- Kateryna Halushka — paramedic of the Hospitallers medical battalion.
